Welcome to Live Well Virginia. This is a site dedicate to the Dulles Region in Northern Virginia. Being a heavily populated area, and a well educated population, we have a tremendous opportunity to help the area employees, employers, and families cut healthcares costs and live long and productive lives. More than 70% of disease in America is caused from lifestyle’s that deteriorate our health. It is a known fact that individuals can reverse many chronic conditions by their daily choices. So here we are…helping individuals discover what they can do to improve their health.

Our Mission: LiveWell Virginia’s mission is to educate and inspire individuals about environmental and lifestyle changes that add up to living disease free. As a result, our community will be more productive, and we will mitigate unnecessary visits to medical doctors; helping them focus on the seriously ill. This will improve life for all members of our community.
Purpose of the site: consolidate the many health focused and prevention oriented resources available to people living and visiting Northern Virginia.

- Eat fresh food. Keep it simple. Limit intake of processed foods that contain additives and preservatives. Consume a well-balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, high-quality protein, essential fatty acids and high fiber. Fast food can be healthy: pick up an apple, a banana, even a rice cake! These are much better choices than “drive thru” food.
- Drink lots of water Water is the ONLY liquid our body craves! And drinking lots of water can help you sleep better, lose weight, age slower and more! Just make sure you get the best water by installing a water filtration unit in your home. Bottled water is not that perfect AND it bottles up the environment!. Save money and the environment by installing a professional level water filtration unit and get everyone on it!
- Get enough rest Without proper sleep you whole body suffers. You lose concentration, gain weight, get foggy, irritable and more. All this leads up to unhealthy choices in what we consume. Admit it! If we feel tired we go for something quick/easy and caffeinated!
- Oxygen is the source of life. Make sure you are breathing good clean air. Open your house when you can and when you can’t be sure you have purifiers to take out all the particulates matter in your air. This is especially true for individuals with allergies or respiratory conditions.
- Don't smoke. Smoking not only increases the risk of cancer but it also is a key factor in accelerating aging. And it STINKS! Literally.
- MOVE. No not your house, your body. Do anything that can get your heart rate up for 30 minutes a day. That could be gardening, or laundry! Or a walk in the park. May a stint on your neighbors’ trampoline!
